“Life is truly what you make of it, especially in the Western world, and here in Norway, it’s nothing short of fantastic! My friend and I, both grown men with our lives sorted, recently found ourselves in a thoughtful conversation about life in general. We realized that, beyond the familiar realms of marriage, kids, houses, and hobbies, we were craving new adventures.
Reflecting on the root of our happiness, we took a trip down memory lane to the days when we used to ride low on our R-type bikes. However, attempting that now, 25 years later, didn’t align with our roles as fathers, husbands, and the general providers, considering safety concerns. We weren’t interested in leisurely rides; we craved the thrill and magic of our earlier days. That’s when we decided we needed licenses and a couple of bikes to make it happen.
This journey is a testament to our desire for new experiences and adventures, even amidst the responsibilities of adulthood. The choices in motorcycles reflect our shared passion for speed and the joy of riding, all while acknowledging the importance of safety and responsibility in our roles as fathers and husbands. The search for bikes
Initially planning for beaten race bikes that we could revive, we couldn’t find the right match until fate led me to an ad for a Ducati 848. A few days later, I became the proud owner of a worn but solid race bike! The excitement didn’t end there; a few weeks later, Erlend stumbled upon another opportunity. A young guy in Oslo was parting ways with his Yamaha R6, fully equipped for riding – a little worn but technically sound.

Pre Season
“Before embarking on the thrilling journey of the racing season, we dedicated time and effort to fine-tuning our bikes for peak performance. My trusty Ducati, though mechanically sound, sported a slightly battered appearance. To inject a fresh lease of life, I turned to Motoxpricambi in Italy. They provided me with sleek new fairings, adorned with a unique paint scheme in Red, White, and Black, complemented by eye-catching stickers. The addition of Probolt fairing fasteners not only enhanced the aesthetics but also ensured a secure fit.
In the pursuit of maximizing our on-track experience, We both incorporated a Racebox logger, a powerful tool for analyzing and understanding our progress during each session. This technology allowed us to dissect our performance, identify areas for improvement, and fine-tune our approach for optimal results.
A comprehensive service was conducted on the engines and all moving parts, ensuring that every component was in top-notch condition. These meticulous preparations not only reflected our commitment to the sport but also set the stage for a season filled with speed, precision, and exhilarating moments on the track.”
